Haulin' It, week 3 may.

Goodness Gracious I'm burnt OUT! Truth be told I've been buying a little less food preps this time around and taking care of non food preps. In uploading the pics this time I noticed that I've been lagging on taking pics of the preps...we've been making moves in terms of gardening stuff, light bulbs, ammo, toiletries and that sort of thing.

Only you can gauge what you need. Never think that I'm not making food preps in one way or another even if it means buying stuff to make food. It's like there's a weird lull right now where meat and such seems affordable and that makes me nervous because that means that the price is bound to go up. Until that happens I'm going to keep going...

Everything on this pic was 99cents. The tang is pineapple flavor 10 packs which will flavor 10 quarts - with no high fructose corn crap. 9 pkgs of beef sausage, jumbo popsicle sticks for the garden, California condensed milk, German mustard, 5 boxes of 100 bag green tea, 2 ea Aim toothpaste and mouthwash (no fluoride), tanimura and antle 3 head romaine lettuce - the total including tax about $27.50

I ran by biglots to get some of their Australian breakfast blend coffee (3.50 for a pound and a half) - it is not the gourmet crap i drink - but it's good enough for everyday and i alternate between that and the good stuff Mom2 raised. I happen to chance on these del monte cling peaches in water - 80 cents each. so 3 lbs coffee and 1 doz canned peaches: $16.90

While there I also picked up 2 pkgs of "hamburger helper"(50c ea) and 3 large bottles of chili powder (1.50 ea),both expire 2016...all that was $5.50

I found a 10 gallon bucket for $6 , a tomato planter (for August) at $4 and 10 bottles of Fuze for $5. I will be using the blue half barrel strictly for ginger, and I save the bottles from the Fuze drinks because they are very clear and hard in case we have to UV sanitize our water. - so all that for a whopping $15.

Lucky me, Braeburn apples were 3lbs for $1 again....I picked up another 13lbs and made 10 pints of cinnamon apples.

13lbs of apples: $2.28

So in walking around the most huge Food City I've ever seen I found a "new" product. Soupless Ramen...5 for $1. I will just test these out and see if they are any good. If they have a good texture and flavor I'll pick up another 15 or so.

A couple days ago I had to take Mom2 to the Filipino Market and right next to it was a Big Lots...so me and the 2 moms went in there. Turns out I had a 20% off coupon attached to my membership card with fake name and address.

The crab meat was only $1.22 a can - this would be okay to make crab cakes if i cut it with white beans or garbanzos and make it semi vegetarian.

The deni bags are similar to the vac seal bags for the food saver - 3 rolls for $4 and the zip ties ended up being $4 after discount.

I am building our friend a miniature first aid kit - so I ended up getting the clear box underneath for only 2 bucks and the rest of the stuff was only $1. Everything was about $7.

Mr. Man and I stopped to get something at Walgreen's on the way home and I spied these on clearance for 12.99. But they rang up at 35.80 and I said no they are on clearance for 12.99 well I dunno if it's because those 2 guys are always making jokes with Mr. Man or what but they only charged us $12.

And don't start talking shit about how the one with the ventilator thing is better and blah blah. Look it's on sale and it's the backup. If you are so flush then send me a case of your shit.

Safeway had a sale on the beef. $1.67/lb and very little waste. I picked up 10 1/2 lbs. That made 10 pints canned. The canned ham was only 1.99 each and the ground chili flakes were only .62cents. Yeah you heard me.

I also picked up 15 light bulbs (75 watt) for $3.75. 4 sharpening stones for $1

Total $28.07

I think I will pick up another 20 or 30 lbs of beef tomorrow and have them grind half of it so I will have something to can.

90 beef sausages = 6 pints canned
10.5 lbs beef = 10 pints canned

Per usual, I take off the lids, wash them thoroughly in soapy water and dry. Then i take the non scratch Mr. clean scrubber and wash the edge of the lids to get rid of deterioration and sanitize it. Then I dry everything put the lid back and put it away.

I do this everytime- I just wanna be clear this time. I do not like yuckies and I'm pretty anal retentive about stuff - and I've heard people tell their horror stories so I've been keeping it clean from the beginning.

I don't really have a use for this stuff - but it was 2.50 for 6 feet of blackout shades. Used to be 18 bucks. I figure it wouldn't hurt to have it.

I picked up another 4 cases of pint jars. And as the other day I already ripped through half of them. Unbelievable. You notice I have mostly Kerr Jars - it doesn't matter. Some people say oh Kerr doesn't seal as well as Ball and all this bullshit - hey guess what, I did my homework - Ball acquired Kerr and the production is the same glass. LOL - their cheaper line is called something else. Welcome to the new school.

Even the boxes look the same just different name and liner color.

Puhhleeeeze.

So this is what we have so far 11 cases of assorted goodness. 6 cases of pints and 5 cases of quarts. That is only since March 20th. For those who are just learning to can - don't be scared...it is just a little tiring to line everything up but while the canner is hissing it leaves you a bit of time to relax or do more stuff while you wait. Do what you like just do SOMETHING.

AssClown Chronicles, the comeback.

So when I first started this blog I used to do this thing called AssClown chronicles where I would randomly put people on blast for coming at me with some really Ig'nant (see ignorant) shit and since my rights stop at their face the blog seemed therapeutic enough.

I've been pretty busy in the last year or so and prior to that I've just been having fun with Mr. Man. Well yesterday - I received a text invite (yeah great manners right) to a BBQ from a girl I kind of associated with from my Psychology class. See below - that's her pic.

Anyhow, we weren't that close - we would always stop and talk and all that and she was humpin this guy (see pic below) in the class who was like 24. I mean whatever - Mr. Man is 5 years younger than me - but um Well um, it's just that um. This chick was humping a guy 20 years younger than her AND she was still married. Claiming to be separated but in my book, if you are separated enough to live in separate states you are separate enough to be divorced. That's just grimy

Secondly don't tell me that you are the same age as me and you have a 25 year old daughter coz that means that you would have been giving birth at 12 years old beeyotch! That's SUPER gross that you are sleeping with a dude that is 1 year younger than your oldest kid. Sick. Finally - don't preach all this I love the Lord, and God is Good, and I am fasting to have a clear spirit...and you left 2 of your 4 kids with your ex, you sleep with some guy while technically married, you threaten to kick young girls asses for looking at the guy you sleep with casually, and you come to class with liquor in your slurpee cup. Pfffft.

So I already know everyone is asking so what set this off.

....well yesterday I was running around minding my own business and babysitting a friends kids and I got a text message - actually a series of FOUR text messages...Inviting me to a barbecue. Here let me quote them:

text 1: my daughter xanise is going to the Navy, come to her swim party to send her off Saturday 10am to 4pm

text 2: at 1111 Who Gives a Shit Stret, Phoenix at the pool area, BBQ, potluck, we have the condiments and nachos we need more meat or hotdogs

text 3: turkey preferably or whatever you want to or can bring, xanise herself only needs 2 more items to ship her off, up to $20 cash and a phone card, to call

text 4: fam and friends when she is able to, hope to see you there, call me if you need to :)

Um how you gonna tell people you are half Mexican half Cuban and call tortilla chips nachos?
Um why the **** would I call your ass?

All I can say is that it's pretty OBVIOUS that you are from FRESNO. hahahhaa. That was one of the conversation breakers for me, the guy she slept with and her is that we were all from California - but as soon as she said Fresno - she lost me LOL.

How you gonna ask people to come to a potluck BBQ and then say that you have no meat or even hotdogs LMFAO. Then on top of that request a specific type of meat HAHA. I was almost tempted to show up with a case of strawberry preserves lol. But I'm not going to waste my gas that's for damn sure. Oh and on top of ALL that bullshit ask for 20 bucks and a phonecard for your kid. Hey hooker - maybe if you weren't so busy sleepin with dudes half your age you could provide for your own kid. LMFAOOOO dumbass.

Plus - she was always talkin about how she was on state assistance, and section 8 finally went through so she could finally get her own place instead of having to go by someone elses rules and she was glad she got foodstamps and so on and so forth. Now I' not going to knock anyone who needs these things - what I am going to knock is that you expect others to provide the most expensive part of the barbecue and THEN also expect others to provide cash and a phonecard. Bwaa hahahha Get outta here. I knew I didn't like her but this just cements it.

Did I mention regardless of the behavioral disorder we were discussing she somehow always brought the topic to sex. SICK - really. Gross. Bad enough that you already procreated 4 times and left half your kids with your husband in another state but now you wanna talk about it - just stab me with a rusty fork why don't you.
---
See this is the exact kind of bullshit that is going on around all of us everyday. Dumb hamhead assclown hookers thinking they are entitled to some shit. Get your own shit man. The world is changing and pretty soon you will be rocking that RFID chip instead of the condoms you should be using with all those young boys I see you walkin around campus with LOL. Sad hooker. I sure am glad she doesn't know where I live - because when SHTF that's the last face I wanna see - and it's certainly someone I wouldn't gladly feed.

But I've got plenty of low carb lead if you'd like that with some sausage. HAHA.

Barrel Cactus...want some?

I didn't go to bed until about 230am last night because I was canning beef. Before I went to bed I went outside to check out the ghetto garden and made sure everything was okay. I woke up this morning around 8am and went outside and noticed that the dog (only our labpitt) got to the green beans - the yellow long bean. I'm fed up - it really just put me on edge coz it took all i had not to shoot the little hooker.

So I put i 2 more pints of beef and 6 pints of beef sausage (about 90 links) in the canner and went outside - there really wasn't much for me to do after putting in more seeds plus basil and water it down and glare at the dog - so I picked up the 30 seed pods from the barrel cactus and cleaned the seeds; I gave 1 bag to Mom2 to add to her decorative plants and keep the bigger animals out of the main area. Which means I have a TON. So...
Well if anyone would like some cactus seeds for houseplants or whatever - just let me know and i'd be more than glad to mail you plenty. I hear they take a long time - but when SHTF what else we gonna do?
Gotta run - I have 12 -13 lbs of apples to can into cinnamon apples.
Keep preppin and I will have another preps blog tonight.

This ain't no game...

Life ain't no game anymore. I'm getting a bit fed up with the general situation of things and the things going on in the world. I've also found this new thing among youtubers and prepper type folks - it's this ongoing game of I've got this and I've got that and it seems to be a game to some people it's not a game. It's not great that the world is falling apart and it's not great that our government is supposedly expressing humanitarian effort when over 1 million Americans admit to food insecurity (eating maybe ONE meal per day) and 800 thousand Americans are obese - at least the ones who go to the doctor. And DON'T make me talk about the 45 million plus people who are on food stamps. This is the thing that people don't think about when it comes to food stamps - sure those people are getting free food - but consider this, at the rate that food cost is going up they are getting a lot less for the food stamp buck.

Then there are the youtubers - everyone's a damn expert. Look, even as long as I've been in the cooking game I still am learning a lot. I switched the nature of my blog to prepping to get the message to people and Mr. Man does his thing on youtube to reach people. But it never fails there always has to be one troll or one schmarmy ass smart-ass who always has a suggestion of a "better" way of doing things. See he is much more tolerant of such criticisms being an athlete and good natured and all that. Me? I don't play that shit. If you are so damn good at what you do then make a video and help all of us out. If you believe that you are so damn fantastic at your prepping show me what you got. Right. That's what I thought. Whatever.

Anyway I don't believe half of what people say because the numbers simply don't jive. But if it makes you feel better to bullshit me that's okay too. And please please please stop pushing ready to buy freeze dried or ready to eat crap on me. It ain't me ok. Another thing...don't tell us to buy organic this and non gmo that and blah blah yada yada...we all know that you have NOT been eating organic non GMO food your whole life and stop making this final crusade to be a food purist when times are tough and at this point volume is much more crucial than quality. Stop Fakin that shit.

Fake non GMO people are even worse than people who willingly grow that shit and sell it.
Mofo please.

This was Mr. Man's lunch yesterday. I know what you are saying is wow that's 2 lunches - no it's his breakfast and lunch. Skirt steak grilled then sauteed with onions topped with bellpepper and asparagus. A lean burger with cheese on flatbread, cucumber, lettuce and tomato on the side. You could pretty much make all of that from preps as long as you has some veggies dehydrated and some wheat and rice. The burger could be made with beans and canned ground chuck or dried chuck.

I started canning about March 20th. So about 7 or 8 weeks right. This is what I have put up so far - 5 quart cases and 3.5 pint cases - really that should be 4 pint cases but I gave some away. Happily I might add since the girl I gave it to actually now started putting up food and gardening.

But over 100 jars of food ready to go. I think about 3 bottles did not seal right - and more than a few bottles disappeared from eating lol.

Truth be told I never thought I would go through my stacks of empty jars and next thing I knew I needed more.

It is a combination of meat, veggies and preserves. I do not overdo any one thing when it comes to canning. Because preserves are certainly not eaten as much as veggies and meat are. I've heard some people say they are just giving up meat because it will be unavailable when SHTF that just doesn't make sense to me. Why not make it while you can and give it up when you have to. Unless you just like quitting.

It's kind of gratifying to look at your rows of canned stuff that you made with your own hands. It's also nice to know that you have chicken and beef and veggies at your disposal.

Be careful when you get started doing this stuff - it is very addicting. I had 10 cases of jars and thought I was doing something - next thing you know you are all out of jars. I think I will have to just pick up a case everytime I go to the store.

Oh and I know I don't have to leave the lids on there - I just leave them there because a case of jars comes with a lid and cap. I also store extra lids and caps since tattlers are NOT in my budget right now.

The other night there was still a lot of corn left, bellpepper, jalapeno and such. So I made a full batch of various vegetables. I've decided that no matter what I am going to do a full batch of canned stuff even if I have to yank something out of the fridge to do it. It is simply a matter of not wasting my effort. Because when I first started I used to just 3 or 4 jars because "that's all i had"...no more.

That dark jar on the right is a cinnamon apple base for cakes or pancakes. I didn't like the quality of the braeburns my sister got so I made it into something more pulpy that you could mix with fresh apples for cakes or pies.

Ground Chuck and Flank was on sale again. So stuff the fridge...

...and can the rest. Some might ask why am I canning beef when I can dehydrate it. I am going to can because I can, it's easier on the house than an oven right now and because water is a big challenge here in the desert. Given the choice to rehydrate meat with my water or make rice with it - I would rather make the rice and pop open the meat.

I cooked about 8 lbs or so...seasoned it with a touch of salt, pepper, garlic powder.

Followed the directions in the blueball book, added a tbsp of red chili flakes and topped off with beef broth.

8+ pounds of lean ground makes about 5 quarts of goodness lol.

the old fashioned oats were on sale this week at .69 cents a lb. That's a steal - especially when you look at the price of quaker oats in the store. So I picked up 20lbs of it.

I picked this cupcake thing for under 2 bucks - just a fun little thing for making different kind of cupcake things for kids both big and small. Regularly this thing is like 15 bucks.

I also picked up this stackable cookie rack that is good for both cookies and bread since mine are looking really beat. The little cutting board is for the bail bag and the candles were only a quarter a piece. Mr. Man is always telling me we need candles - I'm like we already have 2 cases how many more do we need. lol.

Just get out there and do something. Do something every moment you've got - because I just get the feeling that time is short. Don't let others detract or distract you from doing what you need to do. Most of all, beware of telling people they aren't doing stuff right or calling them hypocrites for certain behavior - before you tell me my ass stinks - be sure you wipe your own.

Ghetto Garden Update, week2 may

Well...basically this is our 3rd round of seeds - the first one I lodged (overwatered - they grew straight up and tipped over), the 2nd ones got fried by a sudden week of 103 degree weather and what did survive was eaten by the dog...Half of this 3rd round grew strong then withered and died.

It's really starting to frustrate me. I'm kind of that typical overachiever and try to get a handle on things early on be it painting, cooking, writing, grades (yeah i'm a 4.0-er), whatever it is - I try to stay at the top of the class. This gardening thing is a whole different monster because you have some control but not complete control.

But it's a learning process and truly I wish I would have learned earlier.

Mom2 said that there are skills that you must learn to get along in this life - spiritual, familial, school, driving, swimming, cooking, cleaning and sanitation, table manners and at least have a grasp on a couple languages...but surprisingly she said shooting and gardening. This really surprised me because she is a Physician. A bonafide doctor. Turns out that part of her externship was being a jungle survival medic for the military. LOL - my GodMomma can rock a machine gun and a glock with the best of them. Mom1 said "I just don't understand why my daughter is doing these things"...and Mom2 said,"because these are things that people should know, especially when America is changing..." I guess we are getting the change the Clown in Chief promised us. Bastid.

Anyhow these are the little metal cubes I picked up at a garage sale and use them for seedlings. Sometimes I look at other peoples garden pictures and it seems like theres are so much further along than ours.

What can you do.

We transplanted the HOPI tobacco - 6 of 12 seedlings survived. Just keeping it pushing along. We also started some sacred tobacco in the house to baby until the fall.

I think these are black squash...they'd been in there awhile and out of nowhere they came out.

Same thing happened with these carolina cucumbers - they had been in the dirt for a month and I was just randomly watering them and then all the sudden they sprouted. You can see the tomato seedlings underneath.

Who knows.

There is the evil plant eater. Funny how now her favorite sleeping spot is facing the raised beds. Truth be told it makes me a bit nervous.

We still have some organic potting mix and will get another 50 just in case we need it. The big terracotta pot is ready to go when it's time to put something in there.

My gardening coach Mushroom suggested I plant some random stuff around for the bad doggie to eat so I threw some watermelon seeds down - but she hasn't eaten them. Go figure.

Mr. Man built these nice raised beds himself. Today I found this linen cloth in a trunk and just weighed down the corners with rocks. Mr. Man (aka afroprepper) was nice enough to cut down the sticks and drill them into the corners

As you can see there is a red border around the inside of the bed. All I did was cut up the old bags from the compost and tie them onto the stakes and cut V's so the air could flow through them. It's a little barrier for the curious doggies. Looks like the beginning of cucumbers, peppers and green beans. We have some flowers and other things in the white pots that we will slow grow until around July. maybe.

This is the smaller bed. We put the butternut squash all on one side because we didn't know if they would all make it since we were having such fatalities. That chunk in the middle is canteloupe, on the left are contender beans and in the front is sweet pepper and some kind of tomato plants that hid alongside the squash. I didn't bother to move it for fear that I would kill it.

Maybe we'll start a window farm too.

May Haul, week 2...non stop disco preppin!! haha

It's finals week but somehow I still made time to fit in some stuff in the last few days. I just wanted to clarify that when I call it a week - it's 7 calendar days. So week 1 is May 1-7, week 2 is May 8-14 etc...

It's getting a bit harder to get deals and I haven't had time to run to and from my usual stores - but I am doing what I can when I can and that includes buying non food related preps. I've also decided that I have to can at least once a week. 1 full batch of canned stuff whether it's meats or fruits or pickles - 1 batch has to happen per week MINIMUM.

My kitchen is really busy these days since I just had 3 1/2 moms here and there are still 2 Moms here. That kind of crowding encouraged me to take a break from dehydrating. Besides I'm waiting for the boys to build my sun drying rack things.

I started off week 2 with 6 lbs of strawberries. I was told by a friend that the FDA approved a pesticide for strawberries known to cause cancer - so that will be in effect by next years harvest. Since I'm not so talented at gardening and Mr. Man loves strawberry I might as well get the jump on it. These ones came in at $1 a pound from Sprouts Market.

The first 6 lbs of strawberries were dedicated to preserves. To me preserves are more whole and to be enjoyed on desserts, ice cream sundae's or maybe even belgian waffles. Trim and Wash and Rest in Sugar...

Follow the Blue ball book for heirloom strawberry preserves and you can't go wrong.

They are so pretty I had to take a picture of them

Boil hard and skim...then rest for 12-24 hours

Wouldn't you know a few days later the darn things went down to 87cents a lb so Mr. Man picked up another 10 lbs.

This is the 3rd batch we've bought this month and definitely the most delicious.

I even managed to throw in 4 quarts of chicken teriyaki. So the 16lbs of strawberries made 3 quarts of sauce, 1 quart preserves, 8 pints preserves and 3 pints of loose jam. The sauce can also be used as sugar in your strawberry green tea. The reason I made loose jam is so that it can be used for strawberry ice cream - I find the best strawberry ice cream is made of 50% preserves mixed with 50% fresh berries. But that's just me.

Walgreens deal:
Sugar 1.99 w/coupon
Kleenex .89 cents w/coupon
Nexcare Bandaids: free from rebate

I stopped by the local Dollar Tree looking for some more 2.5 gal buckets but they were all out. They did have my favorite fuze drinks for 50 cents and the Butler GUM toothbrushes 2 for 1. My aunt is a dentist and actually suggests butler GUM as her preferred toothbrush.

Fry's Grocery/Marketplace had these arrowhead stackable 1.5 liter bottles for .49 cents. Personally arrowhead is not my favorite tasting water but I feel a strong urge to put stuff up lately. Stronger than usual. So even though we have water stores we are buying these more for the reuse possibilities of the containers. The price is still holding this week so I may just buy another 20.

Fry's best deal of the week is their American beauty pasta 1 lb for .49 cents. So I picked up 20 bags of it since it does not expire until 2014.

The Ragu brand stuff was only $1.09 and I picked up some tuna as well for Mom 1 (she only likes the one in oil)....69 cents each on those.

Mangoes at Fry's Marketplace were only 3 for $1 and the quality was there.

I had a totally random list from Mom 1 about what she wanted for the house and in filling that list I found 3 clearance tables at the local Fry's. A dozen wide mouth lids and bands were only $1.79. The pickling stuff was only .49cents, The funnels were only .59 cents. I took them all. Why? Because now I don't have to worry about back up. But I did treat myself a bit...

To the "NEW" secure grip jar lifter...in the faux brushed nickel and modern looking rubber. I paid 10.99 for this thing. But I didn't want to wait and I didn't want to pay shipping and handling either.

I'm excited to see that Fry's carries canning jars and accept competitor coupons so I will end up buying jars there for a bit cheaper than Walmart.

Basha's has very good whole corn and this week it was 5 for $1. The chicken was also 1.77 a lb for breast so I bought eh maybe 7 or 8 lbs of it...I don't remember. It made 4 quarts canned.

I popped by the 99 cent only and El Super to look for another cuticle trimmer since Mom2 said she really wanted my sally hansen one and she couldn't find it at any of the drug stores lol. Instead I found 4 pkgs of melba toast at a buck a pop and the large valentina hot sauce for $1.29 that's 50 cents off the usual price - and I forgot to snap pics - but braeburns 3 lbs for 99 cents, and broccoli crowns - 3 lbs for 99 cents. and this fantastic curry stuff...see below.

I love Kikkoman Brand stuff...I was really surprised to find teh Curry Sauce with beef or chicken with vegetables that you can heat and eat over rice. I will taste test this - or Mr. Man will and we will review it on youtube.

But I know these will be at the MINIMUM good. Best case scenario they will be GREAT and I will have to buy 2 cases instead of half a case for variety. They were only .79 cents ea.

I bought a couple of these to cut into 16 pieces to make mini starter logs in case we can't get the fire going right off the bat. I will just saw them into disks and wrap them in old Christmas wrap so they have something you can light.

Oddly enough they had the off clipons (replacement disk and 2AA batteries included) for only $3 each compared to the usual 10 bucks that these cost. I figure it wouldn't hurt to have a couple besides Mr. Man could always use this while golfing.

Today Mom1 comes home from the Doctors office and romping around and says,"here do something with this..." I said what lol - she said 4 for $1. Great right.

Yeah great more work for me haha.

The prep I didn't take a picture of is my 2 new pairs of glasses and contacts. Don't ever go to America's best they suck big giant rhino balls. But I needed my scrip asap and just took care of it. BUT...next to the optometrist was a little store called Dd Discount...it looked like Ross but not Ross. My Mom2 was in there picking around while I was picking up my glasses, so while I was looking for her I found this speckle pot thing that would be good for making rice over a fire or soup - neither too big nor too small...

The little pot was only a little under 4 bucks - and I also picked up a couple sundresses for about 5 bucks each since I knew that Mr. Man would "get on me" about not doing anything for myself and just always put everything into the prepping lol.

I'm very happy that even if we are in the prepping together we still live in today...

Also stopped by another Walgreen's today looking for these Johnson's Q tips since I had a $1.99 coupon - don't you know they had them hidden in the baby stuff lol. 500 count q tips for 1.99. I also picked up 2 totes golf umbrellas on clearance for $4. Normally these are 12-15. Hey it never hurts...and at least they are quality.

Last stop - Bashas Grocery for their whole ground chuck which is really good to me - it even smells good I think it was like 1.97 a lb and the beef bouillon only came to about .75 cents a piece.

6 lbs of ground beef made 2 quarts and 4 pints of beef. Instead of just boiling water I put beef bouillon and a teaspoon of red chili flakes. That's just a preference. Since there was room and I had the produce around I also bottled up some jalapeno, cauliflower, and carrots with a bit of pickling stuff and it came out looking pretty good. It has a bit of space from the shrink but that's better than over stuffing and not getting a seal at all.

Tough business this prepping...but I'm glad we do it. Sometimes when I'm tired a do a little preps tour and I feel like I can sleep even better.

I had about a 7 day period where I felt extremely exhausted to the point where I could barely lift my head at 3pm and keep it together. Saturday Sunday and Monday I spent almost the entire day and night asleep. Then today I woke up and felt normal. Very strange business.

My last final essay was assigned last night in Bio Ethics. I will dedicate the time to it and see it through. I got an A on my Math Final and can relax until July or August. I would really like to reorganize the house and work on the Ghetto Garden more. But I can't shake this feeling of urgency that I need to get things together very quickly. It is what it is...I still have a couple days left for week 2 - lets see what we can do.
